Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mark Yonic (ranked 6762 p4p, 24505 weight class) and Archy Banks (ranked 256 p4p, 271 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Yonic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Archy Banks!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks swings widly with a right hand
and Yonic counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Banks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yonic.
Banks stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yonic.
Banks does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Yonic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yonic backing away here, and Banks unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Banks fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Yonic is out of range.
Yonic moves out of range of the leg kick from Banks.
A telegraphed right hand from Banks misses the target.
Banks connects with a body shot that sends Yonic's belly button to the back.

Yonic was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Archy Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banks tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Yonic is able to avoid easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yonic. Banks does a little dance to reset his feet.
Banks fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yonic has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Yonic on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

We've been informed that Banks has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Banks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Yonic takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Banks is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

It looks like Yonic has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Banks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Yonic. That did some damage!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Yonic will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Archy Banks's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Banks throws a leg kick but Yonic sees it coming and moves out of range.

Banks throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A solid body kick from Yonic.
A nice inside leg kick there by Banks. That's going to slow Yonic down.
Yonic scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Yonic throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Banks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Yonic counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Banks thinking.
Yonic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Banks circles away quickly and effectively.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Yonic counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Banks gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Yonic.

Banks backs away from a small jab... but Yonic lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Banks crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Yonic with a spectacular finish!
