Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Rivers (ranked 405 p4p, 861 weight class) and Bostar Tyraanicao (ranked 49 p4p, 98 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers drops his hands momentarily and Tyraanicao takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Tyraanicao counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rivers feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tyraanicaos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Tyraanicao sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Rivers throws a head kick but Tyraanicao moves out of range.
Tyraanicao loads up on a big right hand but Rivers slips the punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rivers lands a big right hand that sends Tyraanicao crashing to the mat! Rivers stays standing though and waves Tyraanicao back to his feet!
Rivers throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Tyraanicao crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

In his post fight interview, Tom Rivers started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
