PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Rossi (ranked 392 p4p, 859 weight class) and Dylan Peterson (ranked 62 p4p, 123 weight class). Rossi comes into the arena with Mr Rossi blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Rossi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dylan Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rossi scores with a jab. Peterson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Peterson scores with a nice right hand.
Peterson goes for a double leg but Rossi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rossi continues to drive forward.

Peterson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rossi wants to get back to his feet but Peterson drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peterson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Rossi is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Total Impact MMA/KT that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Mario Rossi tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
