Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Shaw (ranked 6033 p4p, 24098 weight class) and Alfie Yoder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alfie Yoder! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoder throws a hook to the side of Shaw's head but Shaw sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Yoder takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Alfie Yoder has been cut. Yoder misses with a low kick. Shaw thuds a left hand into Yoder's body. Yoder takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Shaw cracks Yoder with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Yoder throws a lazy body kick and Shaw counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Shaw scores with a jab. Yoder acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Shaw smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Shaw bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Yoder! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Yoder is rocked!
That has opened up Alfie Yoder's cut even more. This has been an exciting period of action! Yoder is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Yoder is still in real trouble! Can Shaw finish him? Shaw stopping the sweep attempt from Yoder. Yoder seems to have recovered his senses. Yoder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw passes Yoder's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaw wants to work for an arm triangle but Yoder is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shaw throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Shaw moves nicely into side control. Shaw controlling the position from side mount. Shaw thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yoder is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Shaw works to advance to full mount. Yoder defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Yoder can't escape the position.
Shaw is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Yoder can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Shaw is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Yoder to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Yoder shrugs it off. Shaw is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Yoder can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yoder is looking to escape. Shaw wants to finish this one by submission but Yoder is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shaw. Shaw controlling the position easily from mount. Yoder squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Yoder is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Shaw tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yoder is looking to improve his position but Shaw isn't that keen on the idea. Yoder is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Shaw is working for a guillotine from mount but Yoder frees his head quite easily.
Yoder slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Shaw dominated that round. The cut man is working on Alfie Yoder's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Shaw lands with a hook. Yoder tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Yoder drops his hands momentarily and Shaw takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Yoder will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Shaw misses with a wild body shot. Shaw throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yoder stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Shaw thuds a left hand into Yoder's body. Shaw lands a jab to Yoder's midsection. Yoder looks to land a body kick but Shaw moved away. Alfie Yoder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shaw lands with a cross. Yoder has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yoder throws a right and a left that Shaw avoids nicely. Yoder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shaw connects with a body shot. Yoder is breathing heavily. Shaw waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Yoder. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Yoder to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Yoder is rocked!
The cut above Alfie Yoder's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Shaw makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Shaw pushes down on Yoder's leg and manages to get into half guard. Shaw moves nicely into side control. Danny Shaw overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Yoder is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Yoder is trying to buck Shaw off. Shaw controlling the position from side mount. Shaw wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Yoder, who protects the arm well. Shaw trying to control the position but Yoder is working away. The referee asks Shaw politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Shaw prefers to stall for the moment though. Shaw has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Yoder is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Shaw yanks on the arm and Yoder is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Shaw.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Danny Shaw! An out of breath Danny Shaw thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
