Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iain Tower (ranked 162 p4p, 132 weight class) and Sunray Spike (ranked 28 p4p, 23 weight class). Tower kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kanye - Power. The crowd seem to be enjoying Spike's choice of entrance music: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tower cracks Spike with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Spike bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

We've been informed that Spike has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Tower lands a nice hook to Spike's body. Spike takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Spike counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Spike takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Spike checks the leg kick nicely there.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Spike.
The fighters circling - Tower throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Tower gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tower keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Spike's efforts to push away.

Tower has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Spike uses from the top position.
Tower will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spike scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tower doesn't seem bothered though.
Spike connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tower momentarily.

A big right followed by a crushing left from Spike knocks Tower out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Sunray Spike spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
