Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kurt Span!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brock Dundee!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Span misses with a combination

and Dundee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Span's guard.
Dundee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dundee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Span wants to stand but Dundee is controlling the position.

Dundee keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Span's head.
Dundee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Span knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dundee on the ground.
Dundee is in close to Span's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Dundee controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Dundee chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dundee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Span has momentary wrist control but Dundee slips an elbow through the middle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dundee stands up over Span, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dundee working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Span's head.
Dundee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dundee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Span is rocked!
Dundee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dundee is in close to Span's body, working some short punches and elbows.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Dundee dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dundee shoots for a double leg takedown but Span sprawls well. He's pushed Dundee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dundee.
Span tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Dundee is persistently looking for the submission but Span is defending it well.
Dundee is riding his opponent, not letting Span buck him off.

Dundee is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Span wants to get back to his feet.

Dundee biding his time, controlling Span.
Dundee is punishing Span with strikes - can he finish him?!
Dundee lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Dundee lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Dundee.
Oh Span is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dundee is working the ground and pound. Can Span escape?
Span is trying to stand back up.

Dundee working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Span is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Dundee has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Span taps out!
