Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Daniels (ranked 6147 p4p, 6628 weight class) and Esmael Velez (ranked 630 p4p, 658 weight class). Velez has chosen Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe - Kendrick Lamar as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels scores with a kick to the body.
Velez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Velez sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Daniels throws a head kick that Velez semi-blocks.

It looks like Esmael Velez has been cut.
Daniels fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Velez gets caught napping as Daniels dives in and scores a takedown. Velez manages to retain guard.
Daniels is pushing down on Velez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Velez is fighting to maintain full guard but Daniels has managed to sneak the leg through.
Velez has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Las Vegas. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daniels has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Velez defend it? Daniels steps over the head and cranks it - Velez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Daniels!
