Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Big Boner (ranked 4415 p4p, 2909 weight class) and Fernando Furriel (ranked 506 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boner connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Furriel tries for a takedown but Boner circles away easily
and Boner counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Furriel gets the takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Boner's face as Furriel controls the position.
Boner tries to escape but Furriel is in control.
Furriel lands a few punches from side control.
Furriel is working Boner over with some ground and pound from side control.
Boner is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Boner tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Furriel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Furriel is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Boner is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Boner flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Furriel anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Boner and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Furriel slips an arm under Boner chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Furriel has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Furriel is squeezing on Boner like an anaconda would it's prey. Boner fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fernando Furriel!
