Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Beverley (ranked 3776 p4p, 2437 weight class) and Gordon Ramsay (ranked 447 p4p, 302 weight class). Ramsay has chosen God Save The Queen as his entrance music. Gordon Ramsay is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Patrick Beverley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Ramsay!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beverley avoids the body shot from Ramsay.
Ramsay fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ramsay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Beverley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ramsay counters with a left to the body.
Ramsay keeps the fight on the outside.
Ramsay throws out a counter right but Beverley avoids it with no problem.
Ramsay is looking to land body kicks.
Ramsay circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ramsay is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ramsay. Beverley does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beverley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramsay tries to avoid it but Beverley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramsay to the ground. Ramsay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Beverley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ramsay is fending him off so far but Beverley persists. Nope, Ramsay circles away and we're back to standing.
Ramsay looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Gordon Ramsay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramsay throws a series of punches but Beverley moves out of range.
Beverley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ramsay manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Beverley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramsay defends it nicely.

Ramsay connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Beverley momentarily.
Patrick Beverley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beverley darts in looking for a takedown but Ramsay gets double underhooks and turns Beverley into the cage.

Beverley jumps guard and drags Ramsay to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramsay wants to get up but he can't break Beverley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Beverley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Beverley is breathing heavily.
Ramsay slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ramsay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beverley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Let's hope that Ramsay has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Beverley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ramsay's guard.
Ramsay tries to roll over but Beverley keeps him under control.

Ramsay is looking to improve his position.

Beverley decides to return to a standing position.
Beverley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ramsay can pounce on him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beverley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ramsay but Ramsay pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Beverley fails with a takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gordon Ramsay dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Beverley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ramsay throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Beverley.
Ramsay feints and then cracks Beverley's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Beverley down.
Beverley dives in for a single leg takedown but Ramsay sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ramsay doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Ramsay has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ramsay needs to keep his hands up - Beverley had a free shot at his head there.

and Ramsay counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Beverley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ramsay fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Beverley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Beverley is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ramsay sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gordon Ramsay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Beverley jumps guard but Ramsay stands there with Beverley around his waist. Beverley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Beverley closes the distance but Ramsay moves to the side
and Ramsay counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Patrick Beverley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Ramsay winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
