Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Davdio Branko!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 12 - 4, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Detkhunjon Sitsongrit!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit circles away from the clinch attempt.
Branko shoots in for a double leg but Sitsongrit sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sitsongrit tests Branko's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Davdio Branko has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Branko has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Davdio Branko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Branko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sitsongrit feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brankos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sitsongrit connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Branko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sitsongrit swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davdio Branko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sitsongrit throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Branko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sitsongrit counters with a straight right hand.
Sitsongrit looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sitsongrit walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Branko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Sitsongrit connects with a solid leg kick.
Sitsongrit digs a good body shot into Branko's ribs.

Branko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Branko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Branko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sitsongrit has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sitsongrit is trying to improve his position.

Branko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sitsongrit is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Sitsongrit's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sitsongrit is trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Branko advances to full mount.

Branko is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sitsongrit to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sitsongrit shrugs it off.

Branko goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sitsongrit turns into him and now he's in Branko's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Branko has a closed guard, preventing Sitsongrit from standing up.

Branko is working an open guard so Sitsongrit takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Branko tries for a takedown but Sitsongrit circles away easily
letting Sitsongrit counter with a right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Branko has his takedown stuffed
and Branko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Branko takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Branko.
Sitsongrit just misses with a punch to the body.
Sitsongrit lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Branko takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Branko is rocked!
Sitsongrit circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Branko tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Sitsongrit wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Detkhunjon Sitsongrit!
Detkhunjon Sitsongrit is the new bantamweight champion!
Detkhunjon Sitsongrit was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
