The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tacarante comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Tacarante looks to throw the jab but BossaNova is out of range.
Tacarante swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like BossaNova wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
BossaNova throws a right hand that misses
enabling Tacarante to counter with a crisp jab.

Tacarante clobbers BossaNova with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
BossaNova misses the shot to the body.
Hugo BossaNova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tacarante swings away with a body shot that misses
and BossaNova counters with a lovely straight right hand!

BossaNova walks into a stiff left hand from Tacarante.

BossaNova misses with a wild body shot.
Tacarante bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps BossaNova's head backwards.
Tacarante's jab looks to have found its range, popping BossaNova under the eye.
BossaNova cracks Tacarante with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Tacarante looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
BossaNova misses with a hook. Tacarante ducked under it nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

BossaNova moves forwards but Tacarante connects with a nice, crisp jab.

BossaNova is rocked!
BossaNova gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tacarante gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! BossaNova is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
