Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jamarco Ellick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 13 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellick with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mibangon finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Ellick tries for a takedown but Mibangon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And Mibangon responds with a good body kick, but Ellick manages to step out the way in time.
Mibangon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ellick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamarco Ellick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mibangon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ellick looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mibangon is defending well. Ellick quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mibangon has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Ellick celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
