Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bardia Farrokhzad (ranked 425 p4p, 421 weight class) and Apophis Kalmisto (ranked 48 p4p, 47 weight class). Farrokhzad's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rastak - Hele Mali (Iranian Fisherman Folk Song). Kalmisto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tässäkö tää oli. Apophis Kalmisto has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bardia Farrokhzad's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bardia Farrokhzad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Apophis Kalmisto! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Farrokhzad. Beautiful body shot. Farrokhzad looks to clinch and Kalmisto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Farrokhzad is looking to clinch but Kalmisto is avoiding it.
Farrokhzad closes the distance looking to clinch and Kalmisto counters with a nice uppercut. A jab lands there for Farrokhzad. Farrokhzad looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kalmisto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Farrokhzad. Farrokhzad misses with a shot to the body and Kalmisto counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Farrokhzad is lucky that one didn't land flush. Decent striking displayed by Farrokhzad there. Kalmisto takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Farrokhzad with a nice cross. Farrokhzad throws a poor cross that misses
and Kalmisto counters with a good low kick that Farrokhzad was not able to check. Farrokhzad rushes Kalmisto and presses him up against the cage. Kalmisto managing to block the knees to the body from Farrokhzad.
Kalmisto breaks from the clinch.
Farrokhzad tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kalmisto was well out of range. Poor timing from Farrokhzad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from Farrokhzad. Farrokhzad takes a swing at Kalmisto's ribcage but misses. Farrokhzad slips a jab and a cross from Kalmisto.
Farrokhzad takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Farrokhzad is rocked! Farrokhzad feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kalmistos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Oh Farrokhzad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kalmisto throws an overhand right that drops Farrokhzad like a sack of potatoes! Kalmisto dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Apophis Kalmisto! During a confident post fight interview, Apophis Kalmisto thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
