Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Prilla (ranked 3601 p4p, 3030 weight class) and John Knox (ranked 474 p4p, 413 weight class). John Knox has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Prilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Knox! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knox connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Knox scores with a decent looking hook. Prilla misses with an uppercut. Knox saw that one coming. Prilla pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knox throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Knox connects with a good right hand that stumbles Prilla. Prilla circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Prilla looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Prilla misses with a body shot.
Knox throws a jab when Prilla was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Prilla moves out of range as Knox strikes. Prilla seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Prilla throws a nice outside leg kick. Prilla drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knox looks to land a right hand but Prilla moved out of range. Prilla throwing a counter right hand but Knox manages to avoid it. Prilla throws a head kick but Knox moves out of range.
Knox throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sloppy strikes from Prilla. Those never looked like landing. Knox throws out a counter right but Prilla avoids it with no problem. Prilla misses with a body kick. Prilla misses with a two punch combination.
Left hook, right uppercut from Knox. Knox throws a hook to the side of Prilla's head but Prilla sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Knox just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromPrilla. Prilla feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Knoxs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Knox throws an off balance right hand
and Prilla counters with a nice body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prilla bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. A punch combination from Prilla misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Prilla uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knox.
Knox moves into the clinch. Prilla is struggling to control the position. Nice body punch from Knox - that landed with a thud.
Knox lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Knox throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Prillas head. A frustrated look appears on Prilla's face as he tries to break the clinch. A right handed body shot lands from Knox.
Prilla tries to pull guard but Knox holds him up against the cage and eventually Prilla drops back down to his feet.
Prilla using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Knox has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prilla is trying to break the clinch but Knox has him pressed against the cage. Knox lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Prilla or not. Knox pushes Prilla back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Knox keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Prilla's efforts to push away. Prilla has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Knox after a bit of a struggle. Knox lands with a short shot to the head. We've been informed that Knox has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A shot in the inside from Knox. Knox tries a body shot but Prilla blocks it.
Knox lands a right hand that snaps the head of Prilla backwards. Knox lands a left hand.
Knox lands a body shot. A nice left hand lands by Knox.

Knox tries to throw a body punch but Prilla avoids it by throwing Knox back against the cage. Knox has Prilla pressed against the cage, preventing Prilla from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Prilla tries to circle away but Knox has him pinned against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prilla's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A body shot lands from Knox.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knox misses with a straight right. Knox bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Prilla shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Prilla. That's going to take a lot out of him. Knox closes the distance and clinches. Knox lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Knox lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Prilla backwards. Prilla tries to break free but Knox pushes him back against the cage. Prilla looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Knox dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Knox connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Prilla's hands. Knox sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Antonio Prilla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Knox lands a right hook to the body.
Knox wants to clinch but Prilla slips to the side and Prilla counters with a series of strikes. Knox will be more careful next time no doubt. Knox fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Prilla, pushing him back against the cage. Prilla manages to break the clinch.
Prilla gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Knox misses with a straight right. Prilla showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Knox.
Knox throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Prilla. Prilla swings widly with a right hand
and Knox counters with a lovely straight right hand! A head kick misses from Prilla. Prilla pushes Knox up against the cage in a clinch. John Knox seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Prilla wants to break free but Knox has control.
Knox breaks the clinch.
Knox with a nice cross. Knox looks to land a combination but Prilla avoids it well. Knox tries to clinch up but Prilla circles away and keeps his distance. Prilla lands with a kick to the temple. Knox shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prilla moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knox on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Prilla. Prilla obviously looking to wear him down.

Knox is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Prilla with a body shot. Knox connects with a jab. Prilla clinches up with Knox and pushes him back against the cage. Prilla pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Knox rushes Prilla and presses him up against the cage. Knox working some nice short punches in the clinch. Knox cracks Prilla with a nice body shot. Knox lands a right hand that snaps the head of Prilla backwards. Knox lands with a right to the head. Prilla can't get the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knox is struggling to control the position. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Knox creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Prilla is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Prilla escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Knox takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
No joy there for Prilla, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Knox tries to counter with a clinch but Prilla shakes him off and moves away. Knox shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Prilla eats them both and turns towards Knox to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. A low kick from Prilla misses and Knox connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Prilla will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Knox lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prilla has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Prilla there as he acknowledges the shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Prilla throws out a leg kick but Knox moves out of range and Prilla only half commits. Prilla takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Knox throws a hook to the side of Prilla's head but Prilla sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Knox lands an overhand right. Knox avoids the head kick by Prilla.
Knox might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Knox lands a glancing blow to the side of Prilla's head. John Knox seems to be getting the better of the standup. Knox lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Prilla is rocked! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Knox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Prilla bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nice defenses there by Prilla. Prilla takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Prilla shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knox pinned against the cage. Knox gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Prilla moves out of range of the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking body kick lands there for Prilla. Prilla throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Prilla. Knox shrugs it off though.

Prilla is trying to push Knox away but Knox has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Knox lands a body punch. Knox makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Prilla escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Knox looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Danga de danga de dang - Knox scores with a four punch combination!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knox instigates a clinch. Knox lands a hook to the side of the head. Prilla goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Prilla tries to break free but Knox pushes him back against the cage. Knox lands with a light punch inside. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knox has Prilla pushed against the cage. Prilla looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Knox keeps control of Prilla as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Prilla misses with a punch to the body.
Knox lands a left hand that snaps the head of Prilla backwards. Prilla tries to break the clinch but Knox is controlling the position. Antonio Prilla has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! John Knox is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Knox lands with a left to the head. A left hand lands to the body for Knox.
And that's the end of the fight! John Knox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Knox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
