Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy McCork (ranked 486 p4p, 795 weight class) and Julian Avila (ranked 63 p4p, 106 weight class). McCork comes to the cage accompanied by Alternative Ulster by Stiff Little Fingers. Tommy McCork had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy McCork!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julian Avila!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCork is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Avila's half guard.

Julian Avila is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McCork shoots in looking for a takedown. Avila tries to sprawl out of it but McCork keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Avila manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Avila is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McCork defends well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McCork, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
