Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Johnson (ranked 4827 p4p, 2897 weight class) and Cooper Strickland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cooper Strickland! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jab by Johnson. Ricardo Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Strickland tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Strickland somewhat. Strickland shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely. Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Johnson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strickland shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Strickland walks into a left hand. Strickland is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson lands a glancing blow to the side of Strickland's head. Strickland fails in his attempt to clinch. Strickland tries to move into range but Johnson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A jab from Johnson finds it's way through Strickland's defenses. Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Strickland stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Strickland on the wrong end of a nice hook. Strickland takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Johnson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Strickland is rocked! Johnson cracks Strickland with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Strickland falls to his knees and Johnson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricardo Johnson! A very excited looking Ricardo Johnson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
