The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veainu slips under a jab from Jewru.
The Jewru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A lazy left from Veainu finds it's target.

It looks like The Jewru has been cut.
Jewru throws a series of punches but Veainu moves out of range.
Veainu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Jewru connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

and Veainu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jewru throws out a powerful jab.

Veainu cracks Jewru with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Veainu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jewru to stand back up!

Jewru throws out a loose jab but Veainu uses good head movement to avoid it.
Veainu wants to clinch up but Jewru keeps it at a distance.

and Veainu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Semi Veainu has been cut.
Veainu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jewrus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Veainu pushes Jewru back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Jewru's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Veainu counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jewru! Veainu lets Jewru back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Veainu cracks Jewru with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jewru looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Veainu finish him?

Veainu moves into the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Jewru's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jewru is trying to push Veainu away but Veainu has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Veainu keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jewru's efforts to push away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Veainu drops Jewru onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jewru is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Jewru is rocked!

Veainu gets control of Jewru's arms and successfully pulls guard. Veainu will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Veainu wants to sweep but no luck.

Jewru has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Veainu to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jewru is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Veainu pulls down on the head and he's put Jewru to sleep! This one is all over!
