Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Mendoza (ranked 3044 p4p, 3415 weight class) and Viggo Oglislav (ranked 348 p4p, 389 weight class). Viggo Oglislav has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Mendoza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Viggo Oglislav! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oglislav throws a right hand that Mendoza ducks under and follows up with a left that Mendoza also avoids with ease. Oglislav steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mendoza. That one must have hurt. Mendoza fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oglislav, pushing him back against the cage. Mendoza crunches a lovely knee into Oglislav's ribcage. Mendoza has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Oglislav is trying to keep an underhook but Mendoza manages to get the takedown into half guard. Mendoza decides to stand up. Oglislav throws a shot to the body.
The fight moves into the clinch position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A body shot lands from Mendoza.

Mendoza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oglislav lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Mendoza throws a head kick but Oglislav moves out of range.
Mendoza feints and as Oglislav raises his hands in defense, Mendoza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Oglislav looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mendoza is one step ahead there. Mendoza stands up from guard. Let's bang! Oglislav connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mendoza's hands. Mendoza instigates a clinch. Oglislav taking a breather. Mendoza is working Oglislav over against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mendoza pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Oglislav throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A bone on bone clash there as Mendoza blocks the leg kick.
Viggo Oglislav seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mendoza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mendoza closes the distance and clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Mendoza jumps guard but Oglislav turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Mendoza tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Oglislav tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Mendoza gets control of Oglislav's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mendoza will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Oglislav wants to pass the guard but Mendoza is keeping the position. Oglislav slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mendoza regains half guard, as Oglislav was trying to land strikes. Mendoza tries to kick Oglislav off but Oglislav keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oglislav slips a nice elbow through Mendoza's hands, connecting with Mendoza's forehead. Oglislav is looking for a kimura here.
Mendoza is staying active underneath Oglislav, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Oglislav is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mendoza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oglislav on the ground. Oglislav is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Oglislav is working for a kimura but Mendoza is defending it quite comfortably.
Mendoza wants to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Mendoza dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Oglislav scores with the left hand. Mendoza knows he should have avoided that one. Mendoza takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Oglislav takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Viggo Oglislav has been cut. Mendoza has closed the distance and engaged Oglislav in a clinch.
