The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chechnya shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chechnya throws a sloppy head kick and Michaels moves out of range easily.
Mister Chechnya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Michaels shoots in looking for a takedown. Chechnya tries to sprawl out of it but Michaels keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chechnya manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chechnya is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Chechnya throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Michaels counters with a shoot takedown. Chechnya fights it but they end up in guard.
