Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woods is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jackson 5 - ABC. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Manny Woods enters the cage!

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manny Woods! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Daniels showed some decent athleticism there. Woods is trying to stand back up but Daniels is controlling him
Daniels is looking for a kimura but Woods is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Daniels to get the leverage. Daniels really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Woods works his way to full guard. Good work. Daniels got a little sloppy there for a moment and Woods has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daniels has managed to get both his arms back between Woods's legs - danger averted. Woods looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daniels wants to control from the top but Woods keeps moving. Woods wants to stand up but Daniels is controlling him. Daniels thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Daniels stopping the sweep attempt from Woods. Daniels drops back, looking for a kneebar! Woods looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Woods looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Woods!

Daniels is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Woods is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Woods decides to take the fight back to the feet. A big right from Woods misses. Woods connects with the punch. Daniels defending well as Woods loads up on a big left hand. Daniels tries to clinch up. Woods cracks Daniels with an open hand slap.

Daniels takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Woods throws a big shot that misses. Woods scores with a decent looking hook. Woods with a lazy takedown attempt and Daniels counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Woods is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Woods wants to sweep but no luck. Woods is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Woods is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Woods looking to hit a scissor sweep but Daniels is one step ahead there. Daniels sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Woods's guard.

Woods doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Daniels. Daniels is looking to take a break and control but Woods is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Woods is trying is best to control the position here. The fighters are battling for position here. Woods manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Daniels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Daniels trying to control but Woods is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woods misses with a takedown attempt and Daniels counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Woods's guard now. Daniels trying to control the position from guard on top but Woods is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Daniels is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Woods is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Daniels has gone for a leg lock! Woods slips out almost immediately though and dives into Daniels's guard. Daniels keeping moving, preventing Woods from controlling successfully.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Daniels is on top in guard.

Woods breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Daniels moves into the clinch. Daniels has Woods pressed against the cage, preventing Woods from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Woods turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Woods manages to end up in side control. Woods stands up and we're back to a striking position. Daniels is looking to clinch. Woods has his takedown stuffed and Daniels counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Daniels. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Daniels trying to move into half guard but instead Woods has managed to sweep! Daniels not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Daniels works a leg free and moves into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Woods won't allow Daniels to pass to mount.

Daniels doesn't have the hooks in and Woods manages to turn into his guard.
