Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Conor Byrne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragon Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Byrne comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Conor Byrne has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Conor Byrne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dragon Rage! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Byrne fails with the takedown. Byrne throws a leg kick but Rage checks it. Rage throws a leg kick which misses Byrne's front leg but catches the back leg as Byrne tries to avoid it. Byrne fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Byrne is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Byrne. Byrne is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rage is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rage gets back to half guard. Rage has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Byrne is working away from the top position though. Byrne blocks the strikes from Rage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Byrne is pressing down on Rage's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rage is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rage tries to kick Byrne off but Byrne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rage looks gassed! Byrne is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Byrne prevents Rage from improving his position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Rage scoring well with a low kick there.
Byrne drives through and clinches with Rage against the cage.
Byrne jumps into guard, dragging Rage to the mat.
Rage won't allow Byrne to sweep him here. Rage trying to stand up but can't free himself from Byrne's guard. Rage stopping the sweep attempt from Byrne. Byrne is trying to control the position but Rage postures up. Byrne working for a triangle but Rage defends it easily.
Rage is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Byrne controls Rage momentarily but Rage frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rage wants to stand but Byrne is controlling his posture from full guard. Byrne is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Byrne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rage's guard. Byrne with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Byrne won't allow Rage to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rage keeping full guard, as Byrne tries to pass. Byrne is working hard here to advance position. Rage pulls Byrne in close to prevent any damage. Byrne pushing down on Rage's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Byrne works his way into side control. Rage prevents Byrne from improving position. Byrne looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Byrne trying to control the action but Rage is working from the bottom. Byrne taking a breather here. Byrne scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rage to see if he's OK. Rage is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Rage takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Rage can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Byrne throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Byrne lands a few punches from side control. Rage is not content to let Byrne control the position. Byrne looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rage tries to improve position but can't. Byrne works to advance to full mount. Rage defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Byrne is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Byrne doesn't manage to clinch there - Rage circles away.
Byrne is looking to clinch. Byrne throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rage's waist but Byrne gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Byrne off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conor Byrne. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rage throws a nice outside leg kick. Rage lands a nice leg kick that just misses Byrne's sensitive parts. Rage moves into the clinch successfully.
With the fighters up against the cage, Byrne throws an elbow but misses.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Rage on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rage misses with a body punch.
Byrne has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rage clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Byrne is cranking Rage's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Rage! He's tightened the choke and Rage is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Conor Byrne!
