Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Masato Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Lee struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. John Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masato Michinoku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Lee! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee dodges the punch combination from Michinoku.
Michinoku really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Michinoku gets a takedown into half guard. Lee is looking to get back to is feet but Michinoku passes into side control.
Michinoku trying to control the position but Lee is working away. Michinoku passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lee! Michinoku raining down shots from the mount! Michinoku has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Michinoku controlling the position easily from mount. Michinoku with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Lee really wants to buck Michinoku off and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michinoku trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lee bucks Michinoku off and manages to get back to his feet! Lee misses with a wild combination.

Michinoku throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Michinoku throws a head kick that misses. Lee walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Michinoku shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Michinoku shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Michinoku keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lee looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Michinoku! Lee looks gassed! Lee is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Michinoku can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Michinoku tries to hold on but Lee postures up. Michinoku really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Lee keeping moving, preventing Michinoku from controlling successfully. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Michinoku wants to stand but Lee has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Michinoku shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masato Michinoku. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Michinoku is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Lee pulls his head out easily. Michinoku is pressing down on Lee's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Michinoku tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lee wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Michinoku's closed guard. He's half up but Michinoku has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Michinoku pivots and extends the arm, Lee falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Michinoku! Well done that man!
