Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Romeo Roethlisberger!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Roethlisberger swivels and escapes.
Igor misses with a takedown attempt - Roethlisberger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Roethlisberger shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Igor kicks off Roethlisberger and gets to his feet.

and Roethlisberger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Igor's guard now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Igor is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Roethlisberger has taken his back.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Igor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Roethlisberger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Igor to the mat! Igor manages to get full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roethlisberger might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Igor kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
