Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiatbanchong Pongsiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borat Yankov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borat Yankov looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kiatbanchong Pongsiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Borat Yankov!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yankov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pongsiri will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pongsiri looks to score with a jab to the body but Yankov is just out of range.
Pongsiri closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yankov circles away.

Yankov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pongsiri looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pongsiri can't do much from the bottom here.
Yankov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Pongsiri is trying to control Yankov's posture but Yankov avoids it.

Yankov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pongsiri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pongsiri tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Pongsiri takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pongsiri cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Yankov looks gassed!
Pongsiri throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Pongsiri is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Pongsiri can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yankov is looking to escape.

Pongsiri stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Pongsiri shoots and misses

and Yankov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pongsiri won't be happy with that.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pongsiri regains half guard.
Pongsiri gets full guard.
Pongsiri is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pongsiri trying to control the action but Yankov is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pongsiri is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yankov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pongsiri.

A close round but Borat Yankov will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Yankov has his takedown stuffed

and Pongsiri counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Pongsiri uses his free foot to push down on Yankov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yankov.

and Pongsiri counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pongsiri.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kiatbanchong Pongsiri.

Yankov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yankov wants it to stay on the feet.

Pongsiri seems to be working for a kimura but Yankov defends the submission attempt.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yankov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kiatbanchong Pongsiri overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Yankov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pongsiri scores with a couple of nice shots.

Yankov is pressed up against the cage. Pongsiri has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Yankov down to the mat. Yankov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pongsiri throws a nice looking combination but Yankov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Pongsiri misses with a takedown attempt - Yankov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Yankov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yankov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Yankov's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Yankov wants to hold on but Pongsiri pushes him away.

Pongsiri lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Kiatbanchong Pongsiri showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Pongsiri has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
