Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Dunne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunne comes to the cage accompanied by fight!!!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunne avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dunne counters with a thumping low kick.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Tim Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dunne, right into the meat.
Dunne keeps Johnson at a distance using the push kick.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dunne misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Johnson looks to land a left hand but Dunne moved out of range nicely.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dunne is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Dunne circles away and we're back to standing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson looks to land a body kick but Dunne moved away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Johnson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dunne - the referee stops the clock and Johnson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dunne. Johnson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Dunne moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Tim Johnson has been cut.
Dunne tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dunne swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Johnson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Johnson is nestled in close to Dunne, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dunne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.

Dunne is rocked!
Johnson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Dunne quite badly. Dunne pulls Johnson in close trying to recover. Johnson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Dunne on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Dunne doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Johnson!
