Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grotz Grotz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delilah Herpies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grotz Grotz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Delilah Herpies! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grotz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Grotz tries to move to full mount but Herpies actually manages to regain half guard. Grotz works his way into side control. Herpies takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Herpies is not content to let Grotz control the position. Grotz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Herpies knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Grotz staying calm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herpies can't do much from the bottom here. Grotz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Herpies is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Grotz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Grotz swings around for an armbar but Herpies sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Grotz's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grotz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Herpies is one step ahead there. Herpies is looking to stand up but Grotz won't let him. Grotz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Grotz is controlling Herpies's posture. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Grotz is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Herpies trying to control the position.
Herpies is working an open guard so Grotz takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Herpies misses with a low kick as Grotz jumps back. Grotz closes the distance and clinches up with Herpies, looking for a takedown. Grotz pushes Herpies against the cage but Herpies circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Herpies throws a good cross that connects.
Grotz tries to clinch up. Grotz checks a low kick from Herpies. Grotz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Herpies napping and manages to drive through into side control! Grotz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grotz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Herpies! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Herpies is bucking up trying to escape but Grotz cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Grotz putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Herpies takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Grotz tries to control but Herpies wriggling away. Grotz controlling from the full mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grotz goes for an armbar but Herpies turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Herpies. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grotz Grotz dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Herpies lands a leg kick that knocks Grotz off balance momentarily. Herpies tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grotz was well out of range. Poor timing from Herpies. Grotz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Grotz is trying to work for a kimura but Herpies is defending well.
Grotz is nestled in close to Herpies, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Grotz Grotz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Grotz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Grotz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Herpies could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Grotz has cracked it and Herpies is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Grotz!
