PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Igor Petrovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cezary Konarski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Konarski has chosen Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konarski tries a head kick but it misses.
Konarski throws a head kick but Petrovich moves out of range.

Konarski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Petrovich keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cezary Konarski hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Konarski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Petrovich's guard.

Konarski is just content to waste time from the top position. Petrovich takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Petrovich changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Konarski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Petrovich seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Konarski for as long as he can get away with.

Cezary Konarski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Konarski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
