The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe checks a low kick from Tapperoni.
Nice takedown defense from Tapperoni. No joy for Joe on that attempt.
Joe misses with a few strikes there.
Joe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tapperoni throws a head kick but Joe moves out of range.
Joe cracks the inside of Tapperoni's front leg.
Tapperoni stuffs the takedown.
A head kick misses from Joe.
Tapperoni walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Tapperoni keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tony Tapperoni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jumbo Joe.
Joe misses with a series of wild punches.
Jumbo Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tapperoni misses with a head kick.
Tapperoni shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tapperoni throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Joe is just holding on here. Tapperoni manages to take his back.

Tapperoni has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tapperoni working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Joe is doing well to defend. Tapperoni seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Joe is forced to tap and this one is over!
