Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conrad Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Conrad Wang! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wang slaps away a takedown attempt from White, before circling back to the center of the mat. White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wang defends it nicely. Wang gets a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wang tries to pass the half guard into mount. White knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. White keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wang wants to pass the guard but White is defending well. White wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wang sitting and controlling from the half guard. Wang wants to stand but his hand is trapped. White uses the opportunity to regain full guard. White being controlled here, momentarily. Wang looking to pass the guard. White is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wang stands up from White's guard - Wang perhaps looking for a knockout. White moves in looking to clinch but Wang pushes him off. White gets caught napping as Wang dives in and scores a takedown. White manages to retain guard. Wang controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. White is trying to keep Wang in close.
Wang must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White wants to sweep but no luck. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. White not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Michael White just wasn't active enough. White tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten White somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael White. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wang gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wang with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
White tries to break free but Wang pushes him back against the cage. Wang using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
White stalling in the clinch but Wang improves position. Wang has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics White uses from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wang managing to control the position. Wang has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but White can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wang controlling the position. White looking to pass the guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard. Wang chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conrad Wang dominated that round. That's time! White's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
White lands with a shot to the body. Wang avoids the head kick by White.
White throws a sloppy head kick and Wang moves out of range easily. White looks to clinch and Wang counters by moving into the clinch. Wang manages to break the clinch.
Wang closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wang decides to take the fight back to the feet. Wang fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. White sprawls well initially but Wang persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wang wants to take a breather but White is having none of it. White throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
White manages to get to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. White is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wang slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Wang gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Wang clinches up with White and pushes him back against the cage. Wang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. White lands a jab. White lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wang is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White tries to clinch up and Wang counters with a nice double leg into side control. White won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. White wants to control but Wang postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. White is trying to get back to half guard. White is trying to buck Wang off. White gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White is trying to maintain the position but Wang is very close to passing his half guard. Wang is taking a breather. White says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. White trying to hold on to Wang's head to control him but Wang postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. White wants to clinch and Wang counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wang. Wang displaying some good clinch control by pressing White up against the cage. Wang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wang plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Wang doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Wang gets a double leg takedown into White's guard. White trying to keep a closed guard but Wang is proving a slippery customer.
White is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. White throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! White trying to keep a closed guard but Wang is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Conrad Wang will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
White fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wang avoids it really well and circles away. Wang fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. White sprawls well initially but Wang persists and gets the takedown into half guard. White is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wang's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wang's back! Wang rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Wang looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Wang is looking for a sweep. White is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. White passes to full mount! Wang wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by White.
Wang wants to try and get back to his feet. Wang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wang tries to control the position but White now has his back.
Wang is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wang is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. White patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wang trying to control the action but White just sinks the hooks in. Wang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wang is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. White is trying to control but Wang is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
White unloads with some shots from mount but Wang bucks and avoids them well.
Wang keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
White looking to control but Wang is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wang blocking the ground and pound. Wang tries to improve his position but White has taken his back! White has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Wang tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! White pushes Wang away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Michael White! Michael White took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
