Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimo Kellenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genius Ree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genius Ree is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kimo Kellenberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Genius Ree! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ree scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ree throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ree working away. Kellenberg is looking for a sweep. Ree controls the position. Kellenberg is trying to get back to half guard. Ree working the ground and pound but Kellenberg is defending the strikes. Ree working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ree throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ree trying to control the position but Kellenberg is working away. Kellenberg sneaks back into half guard. Ree trying to control from half guard but Kellenberg is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ree works his way into full mount! Ree misses with a head shot. Kellenberg is working to get back to half guard.
Ree takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kellenberg is squirming around, avoiding Ree's attempts to control the action. Kellenberg is desperately trying to improve his position but Ree has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kellenberg is working hard here to advance position. Ree can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kellenberg is looking to escape. Ree might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kellenberg kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Kellenberg can't escape the position.
Ree takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ree avoids the attempt from Kellenberg to control. Kellenberg's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Kellenberg tries to hold on but Ree postures up. Ree tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ree has hold of Kellenberg's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kellenberg manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kellenberg can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ree lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kellenberg hang on? Ree working away from the top, dropping strikes. Kellenberg is trying desperately to improve position. Kellenberg is breathing heavily. Ree cracks Kellenberg with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Ree with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ree takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Genius Ree dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ree tries to clinch but Kellenberg is having none of it. Kellenberg shoots in looking for a takedown but Ree manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kellenberg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kimo Kellenberg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ree tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kellenberg swivels and escapes. Kellenberg throws a leg kick but Ree moved away. Ree throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kellenberg tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ree is in Kellenberg's guard. Kellenberg wants to stand and escape but Ree is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ree stands and steps away. Kellenberg gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ree misses with a takedown attempt - Kellenberg sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kellenberg really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Horrible takedown by Ree or perhaps it was just good defense by Kellenberg which made him look bad. Ree defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kellenberg. Ree gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ree working the body and head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ree decides to stand back up. Kellenberg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ree swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kellenberg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kimo Kellenberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice takedown defense from Kellenberg. No joy for Ree on that attempt. Sloppy strikes from Ree. Those never looked like landing. Kellenberg tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice takedown defense from Kellenberg. That's three minutes gone in the round. Ree slaps away a takedown attempt from Kellenberg, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ree throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kellenberg's head. A head kick by Kellenberg misses and Ree counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Kellenberg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ree remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Kellenberg struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ree lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Kellenberg tries to get back to half guard but can't. Genius Ree has got the better of the ground game so far. Kellenberg is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ree's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ree content to control rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ree wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kellenberg keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Genius Ree showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Kellenberg tries to clinch but Ree moves out of range. Kellenberg throws a right hand that Ree ducks under and follows up with a left that Ree also avoids with ease. Kellenberg doesn't manage to clinch there - Ree circles away.
Ree dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kellenberg. That did some damage! Ree throws a push kick but Kellenberg slaps the foot to one side. Nice sprawl there from Ree as Kellenberg shoots in. Kellenberg closes the distance looking to clinch and Ree cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kellenberg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ree wants to get back to full guard. Ree makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ree. Ree trying to keep a closed guard but Kellenberg is proving a slippery customer.
Ree wants to sweep but no luck. Kellenberg looking to pass the guard. Ree pulls Kellenberg in close to prevent any damage. Ree keeping moving, preventing Kellenberg from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kimo Kellenberg. Ree tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kellenberg manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ree throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Ree tries for a takedown but Kellenberg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kellenberg throws a head kick but Ree moves out of range.

Kellenberg fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ree feints a jab promting Kellenberg to slip. Ree then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kellenberg slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kellenberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Ree. Ree gets slowly back to his feet. Ree tries to keep at a distance but Kellenberg has taken the fight into the clinch. Ree looking for a takedown. Kimo Kellenberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Genius Ree.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ree keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kellenberg's efforts to push away. Ree wants a takedown.
Kellenberg lands on the inside with an uppercut. Genius Ree is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kellenberg misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ree.
Ree wants to get back to striking at distance but Kellenberg won't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A bit of stalling here from Kellenberg.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Genius Ree. I've got Ree winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
