Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ted Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tad Unhinged (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tad Unhinged has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tad Unhinged! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Unhinged drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Unhinged tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Unhinged somewhat. Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Unhinged misses with a takedown attempt and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Unhinged takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Unhinged wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side and Unhinged takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Smith lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Unhinged backs up against the cage.
Unhinged swings and misses with a shot to the body and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Unhinged avoids the head kick by Smith.
Unhinged doesn't succeed with the takedown and Smith counters with a head kick. That will keep Unhinged thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Ted Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tad Unhinged. Unhinged shoots and misses and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Unhinged shoots and misses and Smith counters with a big head kick but Unhinged shrugs it off. Unhinged with a poor takedown and Smith counters with a flying knee. Nice. Smith scores with a jab to the jaw. Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Unhinged doesn't seem bothered though. Smith shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Unhinged is defending against the submission attempts here by Smith.

Smith is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Unhinged really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Smith takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Smith is nestled in close to Unhinged, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Unhinged blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smith. Unhinged looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Unhinged with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith wants to take a breather but Unhinged is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Unhinged can do anything to dispel that myth. Unhinged looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Smith seems to be working for a kimura but Unhinged defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ted Smith dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Smith moves into the clinch. Smith crunches a lovely knee into Unhinged's ribcage. Unhinged is working for takedown but Smith is calmly controlling the position for now. Smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Unhinged has him pressed against the cage. Unhinged drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Ted Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tad Unhinged. Smith lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ted Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Unhinged with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab. Unhinged is breathing heavily. Smith fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Unhinged sprawls well initially but Smith persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Smith scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The referee warns Unhinged that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Unhinged has left one of his arms exposed and Smith doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Unhinged screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ted Smith! Ted Smith looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Pretty sure I sharted early on, but its ok I fought through the shart. '.
