Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Dragon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nicholas Johnson! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson scores with the left hand. Dragon knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Don Dragon has been cut. Johnson throws a poor cross that misses
and Dragon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dragon wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position. Dragon is standing up over Johnson. Johnson looks to escape but Dragon dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson wants to get back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dragon misses with the ground and pound. Dragon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Johnson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Dragon working the ground and pound. Johnson is not content to let Dragon control the position. Dragon lands a nice forearm strike. Dragon cracks Johnson with a big elbow. Dragon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Dragon creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson tries to bench press Dragon off him but Dragon keeps the position. Johnson is still in real trouble! Can Dragon finish him? A big shot lands for Dragon! That's hurt Johnson! Will he recover? Dragon fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
