The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunderstorm misses with a jab to the body

and Maigeri counters by moving into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Thunderstorm has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Maigeri breaks from the clinch.
An inside leg kick from Thunderstorm misses.
Thunderstorm thows a leg kick but Maigeri checks it
and Thunderstorm takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Maigeri ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Maigeri slips under a jab from Thunderstorm.

Maigeri shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Thunderstorm is trying to defend but Maigeri finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thunderstorm is looking for a sweep. Maigeri is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Maigeri wants to get back to his feet.
