Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Gunstenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fuuta Nimiya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Gunstenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fuuta Nimiya! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunstenson wants to clinch but Nimiya slips to the side and Nimiya counters with a good low kick that Gunstenson was not able to check. Gunstenson tries to clinch up and Nimiya counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nimiya. Nimiya with a knee to the head.
It looks like Eric Gunstenson has been cut. Nimiya breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gunstenson wants to clinch and Nimiya counters by clinching up. A frustrated look appears on Gunstenson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Gunstenson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Nimiya breaks the clinch.
Gunstenson darts in trying to clinch and Nimiya holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nimiya fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nimiya pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gunstenson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nimiya counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Gunstenson tries to circle away but Nimiya has him pinned against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice glancing elbow lands by Nimiya. Gunstenson swings wildly with an uppercut but Nimiya uses good head movement to avoid it. Nimiya lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Nimiya lands a nice uppercut. Nimiya jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Gunstenson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nimiya is proving hard to escape from. Nimiya pulls Gunstenson in to control the position. Nimiya has a closed guard, preventing Gunstenson from standing up. Gunstenson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gunstenson wants to stand and escape but instead Nimiya has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Nimiya prevents Gunstenson from getting back to his feet. Nimiya in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nimiya with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nimiya showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Nimiya drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nimiya jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nimiya won't allow Gunstenson to get back to his feet. Nimiya engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Fuuta Nimiya wasn't active enough on the ground. Gunstenson looks to clinch and Nimiya counters with a big head kick but Gunstenson shrugs it off. Gunstenson tries to clinch up and Nimiya counters with a nice leg kick. Nimiya circles away from the clinch attempt and Nimiya counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gunstenson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunstenson wants to clinch and Nimiya counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nimiya. Gunstenson working hard to break the clinch. Gunstenson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nimiya backwards. Nimiya lands a body punch in the clinch. Gunstenson trying to control the position but instead, Nimiya has worked for underhooks and has pushed Gunstenson into the cage. Nimiya pulls Gunstenson into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gunstenson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Nimiya wants to sweep but no luck. That's four minutes gone in the round. Nimiya looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nimiya clinches up with Gunstenson and pushes him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fuuta Nimiya dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eric Gunstenson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nimiya goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Gunstenson wants to clinch and Nimiya counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Nimiya shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gunstenson but Gunstenson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gunstenson tries to clinch but Nimiya moves away and Nimiya counters with a head kick. Nimiya closes the distance and clinches up with Gunstenson, looking for a takedown. Nimiya pushes Gunstenson against the cage but Gunstenson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Gunstenson wants to clinch but Nimiya slips to the side and Nimiya counters with a good, hard body kick but Gunstenson shrugs it off. Nimiya should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Nimiya closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nimiya landing knees to the head.

Gunstenson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nimiya up against the cage. Nimiya prevents Gunstenson from breaking the clinch. Nimiya lands with a light punch inside.
Gunstenson is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nimiya effectively controlling the action here. Oh Gunstenson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nimiya lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Nimiya has Gunstenson pushed against the cage. Nimiya jerks Gunstenson's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Gunstenson drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Nimiya goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Nimiya because Gunstenson was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Fuuta Nimiya!
