Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Blackburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blackburn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bones's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bones keeping moving, preventing Blackburn from controlling successfully. Blackburn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Blackburn trying to control the position from guard on top but Bones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Blackburn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Blackburn looking to sit in guard and control but Bones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Blackburn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Charles Blackburn wasn't doing enough on the ground. Sloppy strikes from Blackburn. Those never looked like landing. Charles Blackburn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackburn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bones to the mat! Bones manages to get full guard. Blackburn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Blackburn's corner is telling him to maintain position. Blackburn wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving. Blackburn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bones dives on top into guard. Blackburn can't keep hold of the triangle and Bones manages to pass to side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Blackburn is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bones connects with a decent elbow. Blackburn manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bones's best efforts. Blackburn wants to control but Bones is keeping busy and won't allow it. We're going to have a standup here because Charles Blackburn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Some wild striking there from Blackburn.
Blackburn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bones, pushing him back against the cage. Blackburn tries to stall but Bones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Blackburn working some nice short punches in the clinch. Blackburn lands a hook that snaps the head of Bones backwards. Bones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Bones wants to break free but Blackburn has control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blackburn is trying to force a seperation but Bones has the dominant position. Bones scores with an uppercut up the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Blackburn dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bones blocks a jab. Blackburn slips a jab from Bones. Blackburn lands with a nice body punch. Blackburn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bones's half guard. Blackburn trying to pass the guard but Bones defending well. Bones is in trouble now - Blackburn has advanced to mount! Blackburn looking to control but Bones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bones is breathing heavily. Blackburn raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackburn lands a couple of good shots and Bones has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Bones won't enjoy being in this position. Blackburn looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Bones is tapping - it's over boys! Blackburn picks up the submission victory!
