The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mishkulev is looking to clinch.

Mycock lands an overhand right.

Mishkulev wants to control but Mycock is having none of it.

Mycock had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mishkulev is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mycock Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mishkulev's back instead.
Mycock gets his hands free as Mishkulev looks to control.
Mycock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mishkulev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mishkulev turns into Mycock and is now in his guard.

Mycock is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mycock tries to clinch but Mishkulev is having none of it.

Mishkulev plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Mycock moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Oskarev Mishkulev has been cut.
Mishkulev is breathing heavily.
Mycock closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mishkulev circles away.
Mycock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mishkulev clinches up with Mycock and pushes him back against the cage.

Mycock has Mishkulev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mishkulev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mishkulev wants to break the clinch but can't.

Oskarev Mishkulev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pat Mycock.

Mycock tries to break the clinch but Mishkulev is controlling the position.
Mycock tries to pull guard but Mishkulev holds him up against the cage and eventually Mycock drops back down to his feet.

Mishkulev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mishkulev moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mishkulev could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mycock clinches up with Mishkulev and pushes him back against the cage.
Mishkulev is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mycock is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mishkulev to the mat. Mishkulev regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Mishkulev is trying to keep Mycock in close.

Mishkulev has a closed guard, preventing Mycock from standing up.
Mycock tries to free his leg and advance position but Mishkulev is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mycock has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mishkulev is proving hard to escape from.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mycock gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mycock throws a nice outside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mycock throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Mishkulev colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Mycock as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Mishkulev is left battered and dazed whilst Mycock and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pat Mycock!
