Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerald Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elton Dusty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dusty has chosen Californication as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerald Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elton Dusty! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dusty feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Davidson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Davidson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dusty escapes and throws Davidson's legs to the side, diving into side control! Dusty thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dusty stands up and we're back to a striking position. Dusty dives in and scores a takedown into Davidson's guard. Davidson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davidson has an active guard here but Dusty has managed to pass into half guard.

Dusty is looking to take a break and control but Davidson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Davidson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dusty. Dusty is taking a breather. Davidson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Dusty missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dusty stands up out of the half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dusty closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dusty's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson gets tackled into the cage by Dusty. Dusty maintains the clinch. Davidson has Dusty pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Davidson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dusty tumbling to the mat - Davidson dives into Dusty's guard. Davidson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dusty is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Davidson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Davidson trying to control but Dusty is working from the bottom. Davidson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dusty is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dusty looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davidson is one step ahead there. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dusty looking to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Jerald Davidson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Dusty gets a double leg takedown into Davidson's guard. Davidson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Davidson is breathing heavily. Davidson is working an open guard so Dusty takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Elton Dusty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Dusty misses with a head kick.
Dusty gets the takedown into side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dusty in side control lands a decent elbow. Dusty wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davidson, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elton Dusty dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dusty throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davidson was covering up waiting for the punch and Dusty finishes the takedown easily into guard. Davidson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dusty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dusty stands up and waves to Davidson to follow him. Davidson avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dusty shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Davidson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dusty thows a huge punch but Davidson dodges it nicely.
Dusty moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Davidson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dusty stands up. Dusty closes the distance and clinches. Dusty has Davidson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dusty pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Davidson tumbling to the mat - Dusty dives into Davidson's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Davidson is trying to keep Dusty in close.
Dusty got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davidson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dusty has managed to get both his arms back between Davidson's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dusty passes into half guard. Dusty missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dusty seems to be looking for submissions.
Elton Dusty has got the better of the ground game so far. Davidson is trying to stand up here but Dusty is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dusty drops an elbow to the side of Davidson's head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dusty seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davidson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Elton Dusty was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dusty throws a sloppy head kick and Davidson moves out of range easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dusty drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davidson has his foot on Dusty's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dusty works his way back into a safe position though. Dusty gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elton Dusty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Davidson gets caught flat footed, as Dusty shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Dusty won't allow Davidson to get back to his feet. Davidson keeping moving, preventing Dusty from controlling successfully. Dusty pushing down on Davidson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Davidson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Dusty is on him like a limpet, forcing Davidson back against the cage. Davidson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Dusty sitting in guard here, content to control. Dusty wants to pass the guard but Davidson is keeping the position. That's one minute gone in the round. Davidson keeping moving, preventing Dusty from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Dusty is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Elton Dusty was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dusty shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davidson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Davidson pushes Dusty away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dusty gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davidson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Dusty throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Davidson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. You can see the frustration on Davidson's face as Dusty controls the position. Davidson trying his best to control but Dusty has mounted him. Dusty controlling his opponent. Davidson is trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson tries to lock up and control but Dusty gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Davidson is looking to get to half guard. Dusty controlling his opponent. Dusty takes Davidson's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Davidson is in trouble. Dusty has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Davidson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davidson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dusty patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
And that's the end of the fight! Elton Dusty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dusty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Elton Dusty! A very excited looking Elton Dusty rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
