Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norse Horse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norse Horse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Smith! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horse is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Smith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Horse on his heels. He'll look to pass Horse's guard now, I'm sure. Smith tries to stand but Horse is controlling from the bottom. Smith trying to control but Horse is working from the bottom. Horse is pulling down on Smith's head to control his posture. Smith stopping the sweep attempt from Horse. Horse thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Horse on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Horse tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horse avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Horse trying to control the position here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Horse instigates a clinch. Horse looking for a takedown. Horse drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith tries for a takedown but Horse manages to get underhooks.
Horse tries to break free but Smith pushes him back against the cage. Smith tries for a takedown but Horse manages to get underhooks.
Smith stops a takedown attempt from Horse.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Norse Horse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horse has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment. Horse wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Horse is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Smith to keep the fight standing. Smith gets control of Horse's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smith will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Horse is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Horse trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Horse postures up in Smith's guard and throws a big left but Smith blocks it. Smith utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smith wants to stand but Horse is controlling the position. Horse with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Horse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Horse. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Horse not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Horse postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Smith wants to sweep but no luck. Horse wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. Horse postures up in Smith's guard and throws a big left but Smith blocks it. Horse stands up over Smith, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Horse won't allow Smith to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith keeping moving, preventing Horse from controlling successfully. Smith trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horse wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. Horse throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Horse postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Horse. Norse Horse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A momentary lapse in concentration from Smith enables Horse to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Smith manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Horse is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Horse is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Smith wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Norse Horse dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Horse which made him look bad. Smith shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Horse is trying to defend but Smith finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Horse flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Horse is holding on to half guard well. Smith prevents Horse from standing back up.
Horse has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Horse is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard. Smith is pressing down on Horse's thigh, looking to free his foot. Horse is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horse tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Smith wants to stand up but Horse has a hold of him and won't allow it. Smith prevents Horse from improving his position. Horse is pressing down on Smith's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Horse trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Horse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alex Smith wasn't active enough on the ground. Horse tries for a takedown but Smith circles away easily and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Horse tries to land a sweep but no joy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horse is working hard here to advance position. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Horse swivels though and keeps the full guard. Horse is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Smith stopping the sweep attempt from Horse.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Norse Horse just wasn't active enough. The fight stays on the outside here - Horse looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Horse defends well and Smith ends up having to push Horse into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Horse looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Smith moves into range and clinches up with Horse. Smith is trying to drag Horse to the mat but Horse just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Norse Horse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Smith. Horse pulls guard successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but Horse is retaining full guard. Horse looking to control but Smith passes into half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith is trying to control. Horse wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Horse shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side. Smith tries to clinch but Horse moves out of range. Smith stalks Horse and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Horse's face. Horse staggers backwards, shaken. Horse is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Smith scores with a takedown into Horse's guard. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Horse swivels though and keeps the full guard. Horse has control of Smith's left arm, preventing Smith from doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Horse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Smith shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Horse is trying to defend but Smith finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Horse has his hands clasped together around Smith's back. He's all about the action. Nice strikes from Smith there. Alex Smith has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horse is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Horse is trying to control but can't.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Norse Horse. Smith gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Smith has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Horse is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Horse breaks from the clinch.
Horse misses with a hook
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith moves into the clinch. Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Smith jabs Horse right on the nose. Horse blinks but takes it well. Norse Horse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick misses from Smith.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Smith moves in looking to clinch but Horse pushes him off. Smith lands with a kick to the temple. Horse shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Horse leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Horse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center. Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Horse cracks Smith with an open hand slap. Smith with a poor takedown and Horse counters with a stiff right hand. Norse Horse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Smith. A looping hook to the body misses from Horse. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Horse. Smith manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Smith has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
