Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paris Lindsay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Funky Lesnar! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lesnar lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lindsay. A low kick from Lesnar misses and Lindsay counters with a head kick. We've been informed that Lesnar has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Lesnar tries to clinch up and Lindsay counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lesnar misses with a takedown and Lindsay makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lindsay throws a nice inside leg kick. Lesnar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lindsay circles away from the clinch attempt and Lindsay counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Lindsay. No joy for Lesnar on that attempt. Lindsay fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lesnar, pushing him back against the cage. Lindsay goes for a takedown attempt but Lesnar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lindsay looks for a takedown but Lesnar sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paris Lindsay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lindsay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lindsay is trying to drag Lesnar to the mat but Lesnar just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

It looks like Lesnar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Lindsay tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lindsay is looking for a triangle but Lesnar pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lindsay has momentary wrist control but Lesnar slips an elbow through the middle. Lesnar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lesnar works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lesnar controlling the pace. Lesnar is thwarting Lindsay's attempts to control the position. Lindsay is looking for a sweep. Lesnar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lindsay wants to get back to full guard but Lesnar has passed into side control. Lesnar stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paris Lindsay will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lindsay swats away the attempt to clinch by Lesnar. Lindsay shoots in for a takedown but Lesnar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lindsay lands a head kick. Lesnar smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Lesnar shoots in looking for a takedown but Lindsay manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lesnar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lindsay gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lesnar counters with a head kick. That will keep Lindsay thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Lindsay circles away from the clinch attempt.

Lindsay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lesnar is looking to land body kicks. Lesnar doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Lindsay counter with a right hand.

Lesnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lindsay makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Funky Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lindsay moves into range and clinches up with Lesnar. Lindsay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lindsay sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lindsay forces Lesnar back against the cage and clinches. Lindsay has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lesnar uses from the top position. Lindsay manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lesnar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Lindsay avoids the attempt from Lesnar to control. Lindsay throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Lindsay lands a couple of good shots and Lesnar has given up his back, trying to escape the position! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lesnar wants to escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lesnar trying to get back to his feet but Lindsay is in full control for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Lesnar's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Lindsay wants to control the action here but instead Lesnar manages to pass to full mount! Lesnar content just to control the position here. Lesnar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Lindsay tries to reverse the position but Lesnar maintains control. Lesnar wants to control the pace but Lindsay is squirming around nicely. Lesnar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Lindsay knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lesnar on the ground. Lindsay is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Lindsay is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lesnar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Lesnar scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Lindsay tries to hold on but Lesnar pushes him away. Lesnar lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lesnar throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lindsay has his hands clasped together but Lesnar breaks the hold and Lindsay is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Lesnar!
