Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Askarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tim Askarian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Kahn! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kahn misses with a looping left. Kahn throws a leg kick and Askarian counters by clinching up. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Kahn avoids the elbow strike from Askarian, against the ropes.
Askarian looking to slow down the pace here. Maybe Askarian would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Askarian throws an elbow but it's blocked.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kahn stops Askarian from standing up. Askarian has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kahn is pushing him up against the ropes, looking to control the position. We've been told by Askarian's head coaches at OMG! They clinched Kenny! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Askarian blocks the body kick.

Askarian throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tim Askarian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circling - Kahn throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kahn looks to score with a jab to the body but Askarian is just out of range. Kahn swings for the body but Askarian moves out of range.
A combination from Kahn does no damage. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kahn, as that shot connected.

Askarian misses with a leg kick and Kahn counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Askarian's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kahn prevents Askarian from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Askarian keeping full guard, as Kahn tries to pass. Askarian is trying to control the position but Kahn postures up. Askarian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kahn looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kahn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kahn throws a jab but it's blocked by Askarian. Kahn lands a nice shot that snaps Askarian's head back.

Kahn throws a shot from downtown. Askarian moves away and avoids it. A nice leg kick lands there from Askarian. Askarian stuffs the takedown attempt from Kahn. Kahn gets slowly back to his feet. Kahn lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Askarian is rocked! A swing and a miss from Kahn. Oh Askarian is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Askarian keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kahn. Kahn looks to land a right hand but Askarian moved out of range. Kahn throws a jab but it's blocked by Askarian. Kahn misses with a hook. Askarian seems to have got his legs back now. Askarian defending well as Kahn loads up on a big left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Askarian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kahn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kahn throws an off balance right hand
and Askarian counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kahn's knee momentarily. Kahn lands a nice shot to the body.
Kahn fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tim Askarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Kahn. Kahn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kahn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kahn throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Askarian on the side of the head. Askarian ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kahn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A head kick misses from Kahn. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kahn misses with a wild body shot. Askarian throws a lazy right hand but Kahn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kahn misses with a kick to the body and Askarian counters with a nice leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyson Kahn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kahn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
