Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loren Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Hurdis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Loren Morton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan Hurdis ! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body kick from Morton. Morton wants to clinch and Hurdis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hurdis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hurdis is trying to get an arm triangle but Morton is defending well. Morton sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Hurdis stops Morton from getting back to his feet.
Hurdis scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Morton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hurdis trying to mount his opponent but Morton defends it. Morton pushes Hurdis off looking to stand but Hurdis dives back in and keeps control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Morton landing a few short strikes. Hurdis wants to control but Morton is keeping him busy. Hurdis prevents Morton from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurdis tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Morton. Morton misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Morton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hurdis prevents Morton from improving his position. Morton misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Morton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Morton is looking to escape. Hurdis trying to pass the guard but Morton defending well. Morton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Morton wants to improve his position but Hurdis is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morton manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Hurdis keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Hurdis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Morton just stands there and leans against the cage. The referee calls for Morton to work.
Morton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Morton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morton is on top in guard.
Hurdis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Morton gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Morton is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Morton shoots in for a takedown but Hurdis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Horrible takedown by Morton or perhaps it was just good defense by Hurdis which made him look bad. Hurdis rushes Morton and presses him up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morton working hard to break the clinch. Hurdis is trying to drag Morton to the mat but Morton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hurdis wants to break free but Morton has control.
Morton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hurdis smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loren Morton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hurdis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Morton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morton is staying active underneath Hurdis , who seems content to just control the action from this position. Morton punching from the bottom.
Morton is looking to escape. Morton missing with punches from the bottom.
Hurdis wants to control but Morton is keeping him busy. Morton wants to get back to his feet. Morton moves into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hurdis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Morton is looking to cinch up a triangle. Hurdis throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Morton's body to avoid the submission. Morton has instead reached around Hurdis 's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Morton arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
