The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Dalton controls Fisher momentarily but Fisher frees himself. Fisher trying to control the position from guard on top but Dalton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fisher might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dalton haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Fisher sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dalton keeping moving, preventing Fisher from controlling successfully.
Theo Fisher has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Fisher checks the leg kick nicely there.
Dalton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dalton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dalton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fisher is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dalton off and has taken his back! Fisher is looking to control Dalton but Dalton is wriggling around and keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Dalton has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Fisher has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Dalton taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Fisher doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Theo Fisher!
