Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Lee Pettimore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timothy DaBaller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettimore's entrance music is Copperhead Road. A fine choice. John Lee Pettimore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Lee Pettimore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timothy DaBaller!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettimore misses with a body shot.
Pettimore rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and DaBaller decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pettimore's guard.
DaBaller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
DaBaller is looking to work some ground and pound but Pettimore has wrist control.
Pettimore on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pettimore tries to get out of the position.
DaBaller trying to control but Pettimore is working from the bottom.
DaBaller won't allow Pettimore to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Timothy DaBaller was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Pettimore throws a right hand that misses
and DaBaller counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
DaBaller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pettimore swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pettimore utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
DaBaller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

DaBaller prevents Pettimore from getting back to his feet.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Pettimore trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The ref stands the fighters back up. John Lee Pettimore wasn't doing enough on the ground.
DaBaller lands a jab to the head.
DaBaller looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
DaBaller comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Pettimore looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

DaBaller throws the kick towards the body but Pettimore avoids it.
John Lee Pettimore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pettimore jabbing away but nothing is landing.
DaBaller instigates a clinch.
DaBaller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pettimore throws a jab when DaBaller was well out of range.
DaBaller walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
DaBaller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Pettimore connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between DaBaller's hands.
It looks like Timothy DaBaller has been cut.
Pettimore lands with a shot to the body.
DaBaller walks into a jab.
Pettimore connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
DaBaller is rocked!
Pettimore misses with a left hand
and DaBaller counters with a left and a right that stings Pettimore.

DaBaller seems to have recovered his senses.

The fighters circling - Pettimore throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pettimore looks to land a right hand but DaBaller moved out of range.

Pettimore uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before DaBaller has time to react.

and DaBaller counters with a nice double leg into guard.
DaBaller throws a strike but Pettimore rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Pettimore won't allow DaBaller to get back to his feet.
DaBaller wants to get back to his feet but Pettimore passes into half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
DaBaller is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
DaBaller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pettimore is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Pettimore pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pettimore misses with a looping left.
DaBaller shoots in looking for a takedown but Pettimore manages to keep the fight standing, pushing DaBaller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and DaBaller counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Timothy DaBaller has got the better of the ground game so far.
DaBaller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pettimore keeps working.
DaBaller stands up and beckons Pettimore to join him on the feet.
Pettimore misses with an uppercut
and DaBaller counters with a nice kick to the body.

Pettimore throws a hook but DaBaller blocks it.

Pettimore throws an off balance right hand
and DaBaller counters with an outside leg kick.
DaBaller misses with the combination.
Pettimore throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
DaBaller drives through with a takedown into guard.
DaBaller working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Pettimore wants to stand but DaBaller is controlling the position.

DaBaller trying to control the position from guard on top but Pettimore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Timothy DaBaller hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Pettimore rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and DaBaller counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pettimore is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Pettimore drops DaBaller with a beautiful combination! DaBaller stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pettimore is looking for the KO!
Pettimore misses with a hook
letting DaBaller counter with a right hand.
Pettimore throws the left hand but DaBaller avoids the punch easily.
No joy there for DaBaller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
DaBaller lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pettimore is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by DaBaller.
DaBaller steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pettimore.
Pettimore gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

DaBaller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
DaBaller must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Timothy DaBaller.
DaBaller looks for the body kick but Pettimore saw that one coming.
A head kick misses from DaBaller.
Pettimore throws out a powerful jab.
DaBaller moves out of range as Pettimore strikes.
A lazy left from Pettimore finds it's target.
Pettimore drops DaBaller with a huge uppercut! DaBaller drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Pettimore is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
