Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damian Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelldor Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Casey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shelldor Speed! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed is trying hard to land a takedown here. Casey sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Casey gets tackled into the cage by Speed. Speed maintains the clinch. Casey pulls guard successfully.
Casey wants to stand but Speed is controlling the position. Speed slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Casey throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Casey has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Speed is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Speed has his takedown stuffed and Casey moves into the clinch. Casey tries for a takedown. No joy.
Speed has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Casey uses from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Speed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Speed working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Casey stopping the sweep attempt from Speed. Speed is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Casey is controlling him. Casey controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Casey has a takedown stuffed. Casey shoots in looking for a takedown. Speed tries to sprawl out of it but Casey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Speed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Casey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Casey slips a jab and a cross from Speed.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Speed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Casey counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Casey avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shelldor Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Speed has managed to clinch.
Speed taking a breather. Casey goes for a takedown attempt but Speed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Casey closes the distance and clinches up with Speed, looking for a takedown. Casey pushes Speed against the cage but Speed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shelldor Speed dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Casey has hold of one of Speed's legs. Speed is fighting the takedown attempt but Casey gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Speed wants to stand and escape but Casey is having none of it. Speed controls Casey momentarily but Casey frees himself. Casey pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Speed is keeping the position for now. Casey is standing up over Speed. Speed looks to escape but Casey dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Casey is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Speed will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Casey goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Speed has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Casey but great work by Speed. Casey is trying to buck Speed off. Casey is not content to let Speed control the position. Speed is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Casey is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Casey's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Speed has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Casey tries to improve position but can't. Speed is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Casey has escaped the position, nice work there. Speed sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Casey is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Casey manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Casey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Speed keeps working. Speed has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Casey is on him like a limpet, forcing Speed back against the cage. Speed has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Casey after a bit of a struggle. Casey gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Speed.
Speed is breathing heavily. Casey tries to pull guard but Speed holds him up against the cage and eventually Casey drops back down to his feet.

Speed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Shelldor Speed will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Casey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Speed closes the distance and clinches up with Casey, looking for a takedown. Speed pushes Casey against the cage but Casey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Damian Casey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shelldor Speed. Speed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Speed takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Speed tries to score with a low kick but Casey moves his leg out of the way. Damian Casey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Speed displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Casey. Speed throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Casey's waist but Casey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Speed off to one side. Casey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Speed's guard. Casey throws an elbow that misses. Speed uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Casey's guard. Nice move by Speed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Casey wants to stand but Speed is controlling the position. Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Casey swivels though and keeps the full guard. Casey wriggles free and stands up. Speed shoots in but Casey avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Speed with a poor takedown and Casey counters with a left to the body. Casey closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Speed's guard. Casey passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Speed tries to kick Casey off but Casey keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Speed is trying to control but Casey manages to pass to mount!
Speed is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Casey sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Casey avoids the attempt from Speed to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Casey working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Damian Casey showed his dominance in that final round. I think Speed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
