Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between That Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonny Karpecny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). That Guy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, That Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tonny Karpecny!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karpecny tries to close the distance and clinch but Guy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Karpecny looking to score a takedown here. Guy is defending well but Karpecny drives through and ends up in Guy's guard.
Guy is controlling Karpecny's posture.
Guy keeping moving, preventing Karpecny from controlling successfully.
Guy trying to control the position.
Karpecny prevents Guy from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karpecny trying to control but Guy is working from the bottom.
Karpecny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Karpecny wants to control from the top but Guy keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Karpecny gets to his feet. Guy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Karpecny fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guy sprawls well initially but Karpecny persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Karpecny is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guy defends it well.
Guy tries to get to full guard but Karpecny has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guy is trying to maintain the position but Karpecny is very close to passing his half guard.

Karpecny is looking for a kimura but Guy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Karpecny to get the leverage.

Karpecny is trying to control the action in half guard but Guy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Guy manages to get to full guard.

Guy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Guy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Karpecny defends well.
Karpecny controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Guy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Karpecny shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tonny Karpecny dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Guy closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Karpecny fails in his attempt to clinch.
Guy shoots in but no luck this time.
Karpecny throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Karpecny shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Guy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Karpecny trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guy has his hands on Karpecny's head, controlling the position.

Guy working for a triangle but Karpecny defends it easily.

Karpecny is pushing down on Guy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Guy is fighting to maintain full guard but Karpecny has managed to sneak the leg through.
Karpecny is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Karpecny must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Guy can't keep his opponent in guard - Karpecny advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Guy is refusing to be controlled, as Karpecny sits in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Guy looking for submissions off his back.
Karpecny slips a nice elbow through Guy's hands, connecting with Guy's forehead.
Karpecny is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Karpecny is working for a kimura but Guy is defending it quite comfortably.
Karpecny with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Guy wants to get back to his feet.
Karpecny wants to pass to mount but Guy is defending the position.
Still in half guard, Karpecny seems content to control.
Guy wants to get back to full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Guy darts in and clinches Karpecny up against the cage.
Karpecny jumps guard but Guy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Guy can't find room to land a body shot as Karpecny controls the action.
Karpecny tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Guy just stands there and leans against the cage.

Guy gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Karpecny tries to get to full guard but Guy has control of the leg.
Karpecny keeps trying to improve his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Guy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Karpecny keeps working.
Karpecny is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that That Guy will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Guy forces Karpecny back against the cage and clinches.

Guy manages to break the clinch.
Guy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Karpecny swivels and escapes.

Karpecny shoots in and gets a takedown into Guy's guard.
Guy looking for a sweep. Not yet Guy, not yet.

Karpecny is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Guy has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Karpecny is looking to defend but Guy has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Karpecny! Guy pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Karpecny taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). That Guy!
