And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Miranda.
Tolonen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Miranda ducks under a wild hook from Tolonen.
Miranda is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Miranda tries to close the distance and clinch but Tolonen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

I was talking to Miranda's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Miranda is trying to maintain a safe position but Tolonen gets an underhook and turns Miranda into the cage.
Tolonen is working Miranda over against the cage.
Tolonen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miranda has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tolonen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

enabling Tolonen to counter with a crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Miranda misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Miranda prevents a body shot from Tolonen.

Tolonen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Miranda's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Olavo Miranda will probably get the nod.

Miranda lands with a hook. Tolonen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Miranda is rocked!
Tolonen measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Miranda! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
