Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Te O (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Figueiredo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figueiredo has chosen Nao Vale Mais Chorar Por Ele as his entrance music. William Figueiredo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Timmy Te O's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timmy Te O! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Figueiredo! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Figueiredo gets the takedown into side control. Figueiredo trying to control the position but Te O is working away. Te O could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Te O is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Figueiredo has just dragged him back down to the mat. Figueiredo taking a break here but Te O is having none of it and regains half guard. Figueiredo has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Te O works to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Figueiredo wants to control from the top but Te O keeps moving. Figueiredo looking to sit in guard and control but Te O gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Figueiredo is working an open guard so Te O takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Figueiredo connects with a single shot there. Figueiredo gets the takedown into side control. Te O might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Figueiredo laying and praying for a moment but Te O takes advantage and regains half guard. Figueiredo is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Te O manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Figueiredo stops Te O from standing up. Te O has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Figueiredo is pushing him up against the ropes, looking to control the position. Figueiredo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Te O has him pressed against the ropes. Te O goes for a takedown attempt but Figueiredo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Figueiredo closes the distance and clinches. Figueiredo landing knees to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Figueiredo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Te O is pushing Figueiredo's head away, looking to escape. Figueiredo manages to hold on to the position though. Figueiredo trying to control the action but Te O is working from the bottom. Figueiredo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Te O haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Te O is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Figueiredo is controlling him well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Figueiredo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Te O on his heels. He'll look to pass Te O's guard now, I'm sure. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Figueiredo trying to control but Te O is working from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Figueiredo wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Te O's closed guard. He's half up but Te O has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Te O pivots and extends the arm, Figueiredo falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Te O! Well done that man!
