Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sangram Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Joe Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Aint nobody got time for dat. Sangram Singh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Joe Ward! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward shoots in and gets a takedown into Singh's guard. Singh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ward's guard.
Ward has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Midnight MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Singh pushing down on Ward's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Singh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Singh lands a nice short elbow. Ward blocking the ground and pound attempt from Singh. Singh not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ward taking some punishment here, with Singh in his half guard. Singh seems to be working for a kimura but Ward defends the submission attempt. Ward has hold of Singh's hands but Singh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Singh prevents Ward from improving his position.

Singh postures up in Ward's guard and throws a big left but Ward blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ward tries for a takedown but Singh circles away easily and Singh counters with a single leg into guard. Ward didn't expect that. Singh working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ward's head. Singh wants to pass the guard but Ward is keeping the position. Ward has momentary wrist control but Singh slips an elbow through the middle. Singh drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ward looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ward looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ward!

Singh is working hard here to advance position. Ward controlling from the full mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ward has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Singh's face.

He's hooked one of Ward's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ward's back! Ward is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Ward takes the fight into the clinch. Ward seems to have recovered his senses. Singh is working for takedown but Ward is calmly controlling the position for now. Ward has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Singh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ward can't get the takedown.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ward. Ward fails to pull the fight into his guard.
