Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Myles Newell!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarty lands a slapping body shot.
McCarty smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McCarty lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McCarty.
Newell throws an off balance right hand
and Newell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McCarty takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McCarty moves out of range as Newell throws a body kick.
McCarty throws a counter high kick but Newell was just alert enough to avoid it.
McCarty tries to close the distance and clinch but Newell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice defenses there by McCarty.
McCarty lands a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Newell misses with a hook.
Newell throws a solid leg kick but McCarty takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Newell.
McCarty lands a big head kick that sends Newell to the canvas! McCarty follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darren McCarty!
