PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrzej Twardowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastian Borgweiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borgweiller has chosen Ninja as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twardowski moves away from the strike by Borgweiller.
Borgweiller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Borgweiller wants it to stay on the feet.

and Twardowski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

It looks like Bastian Borgweiller has been cut.

Twardowski looks for a takedown but Borgweiller sprawls well.

Borgweiller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Twardowski to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Twardowski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Borgweiller has control of Twardowski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Twardowski regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Twardowski is looking to improve his position but Borgweiller isn't that keen on the idea.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Borgweiller is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Twardowski has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Twardowski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Borgweiller manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
